research: journal papers, book articles, edited books, editorial roles, and conference papers

for details of art-practice based research, see art.

Work here parallels the development of my art practice, moving from a concern with the contingencies of the oeuvre (e.g. the conference papers Unruly women and the rules of art) to a preoccupation with aspects of the new 'social art' – the role of utilitarian work in art, and methods for collaboration, for example.  This latter preoccupation has been a feature of my work as Research Fellow in Critical Practice at Chelsea College of Art & Design.
